In a large mixing bowl coming flour and cocoa. Set aside.
In a large mixing bowl cream the butter until soft.
Add sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Beat until well combined.
Add egg and vanilla, beat well.
Gradually stir in flour mixture, until combined.
Shape dough into 1 inch balls and place on un-greased cookie sheet. Press down center of each ball with back of a ¼ tsp, to create a divot for the cherry.
Drain cherries, reserving the juice. Place a cherry in each cookie. Set aside.
In a small sauce pan combine chocolate pieces and milk. Heat until chocolate is melted. Stir in 4 tsp of remaining cherry juice. Spoon 1 tsp of chocolate sauce over cookies.
Bake for 10 minutes. Cool and enjoy!
