Additional Sizes 4 LB Linen Bag

Clear Creek Green Lentils are sourced from a Montana farm in order to bring nutrient rich products sourced from the Pacific Northwest to the kitchens of our customers. Our 4 pound bag of green lentils is packaged in reusable, drawstring linen bags that are made from 100% cotton and printed with water based ink. These plant-based, environmentally friendly bags are a great sustainable packaging for pantry storage.

Our green lentils take less than half an hour to cook without any prior soaking. Our fresh green lentils have an earthy flavor with hints of pepper and are versatile enough to maintain their shape or puree easily. They make an excellent green lentil dal and can be combined beautifully with garlic and thyme for an easy side dish.

How to Cook Green Lentils

1 Cup Dry Green Lentils

3 Cups Water

Rinse the green lentils, add 3 cups water to a pot, bring water to a rolling boil. Add lentils then simmer for 15-20 minutes or until desired tenderness. Drain well.

How to Sprout Green Lentils

1 Cup Dry Green Lentils

Rinse lentils in cold water, then drain a total of three times. Transfer drained lentils to a 1 quart glass jar and cover lentils with cold water. Cover the jar with a paper towel and secure with a rubber band then let sit 12 hours.

Drain lentils and re-cover, letting sit at room temperature. Rinse and drain the lentils 1-2 times daily until sprouted.
