Soup is always a great go to for a cold gloomy day and this yellow split pea soup is no different. They have a mellow, buttery flavor in contrast to the green split pea’s very sharp flavor and their golden color is beautiful to look at. Yellow split peas are incredibly versatile, we’ve even tried substituting them for corn and they are amazing in that regard.
This delicious soup is full of nutrients as yellow split peas are full of protein, fiber, and especially rich in potassium. You can have this meal ready in about an hour and the peas don’t need any soaking before cooking them. So if you’re looking for a healthy, affordable, and easy dinner recipe, look no further!
